GRE Vocab Word of the Day: Pallid | Manhattan Prep

Today’s word is pallid, and it means pale
or lifeless. You see the word pale in the “pal” right in
the word, so that can be a helpful way of remembering it. And this word can be taken literally or figuratively. Literally I might say I’m feeling pallid,
I’m very pale, washed out, I might be feeling sick. Or I might say I’m pallid, I’m lifeless, I
have no energy to give. So that’s pallid. We’ve got the pal or pale right in there to
help us out, and it means lifeless or colorless. Subscribe for more Word of the Day videos
