GRE Vocab Word of the Day: Abstruse | Manhattan Prep

Today’s word is abstruse. It means confusing or difficult to understand. So if something is abstruse, you’re probably
gonna have to do a lot of work to figure out what’s going on. A really complicated physics problem…if
you’re not a rocket scientist already, that’s probably abstruse. Reading a Shakespeare play might be abstruse. There’s words like thee, and thou, and yonder,
and methinks. That can be abstruse, hard to understand. This word? Maybe it was hard to understand when you first
saw it, but hopefully it’s not anymore. Abstruse means difficult to understand. Subscribe for more Word of the Day videos
